Creative Works, Permissions, and Terms Of Use

It is my joy to share my creative work with you! My goal is to remove financial barriers for schools, community ensembles, and non-profit organizations. I offer my music, poetry, and photography under a Free for Non-Profit Use model subject to the following guidelines:

1. Non-Profit & Personal Use

You are welcome to perform, record, print, or share my creative works for personal, educational, or non-profit purposes across any digital, audio, video, or print medium. This permission applies only as long as the work is not monetized (e.g., ad revenue, sponsorships, or platform monetization) and no fee is charged, no donation is accepted, and no financial contribution is required or suggested to access, view, listen to, or attend the work.

2. Proper Attribution

For all uses, proper credit should be given to Nathan A. Smith, CrossmarkArts.com. This credit should be clearly provided in a manner appropriate to the medium, such as:

• Printed programs, bulletins, or physical liner notes.
• Video descriptions, digital metadata, and on-screen captions.
• Spoken or visual announcements during live performances or audio recordings.

3. Integrity of the Work

• Music: You have my permission to transpose keys or adapt voicing to fit your ensemble. Please do not alter the core melody, lyrics, or structure without my prior written consent.
• Poetry & Photography: Please do not alter, edit, or create derivative works (including AI training or composite art) from my poetry or photography without my prior written consent.

4. Distribution Limits

Please do not re-distribute my original files, poems, or images through any digital or physical means, including re-uploading to other websites, “free stock” galleries, or inclusion in printed/recorded collections. To share my work with others, please direct them to CrossmarkArts.com so they can access the original versions directly from the source. This ensures they get the latest version of works and helps with usage tracking.

5. Commercial, For-Profit, & Revenue-Generating Use

Prior written permission and a formal licensing agreement are required for any use of my work in a commercial, for-profit, or revenue-generating capacity. This applies to all forms of performance, media, and distribution (live, print, digital, audio, or physical) where money is exchanged, solicited, or requested by donation. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Events, recordings, broadcasts, or publications.
• Commercial audio, video, or film projects.
• Print or digital publications intended for sale or used in marketing.
• Paid advertising, sponsored content, or monetized digital channels.

6. Reservation of Rights

I retain all copyrights to my creative works. These permissions and terms are subject to change without notice. Use of any work constitutes agreement to the most current terms posted here at CrossmarkArts.com.
